I tried 2 other sets of off-brand crash bar bags. Both of them were to small to work. I couldn’t get more than one snap secured. I almost gave up on them until I noticed the Saddlemen Bags. It took me 10 minutes to install on the bike and I’ve ridden 100’s of miles without any problems. If you need the extra bags like I do, go with Saddlemen or another brand name company. Don’t waste your time on the off-brands. They don’t save you that much money and honestly they just don’t work.

Install was pretty easy. Snaps were a bit tough, but that's what you want to hold once everything is installed. I ended up using the water bottle straps as an extra strap just incase the snaps failed. After 1500+ miles, none of the snaps have come undone.They have a zipper to secure the bags closed and a flap with a buckle(?) that covers the zipper area. This secures stuff from falling out and provides some water protection, but they're not water proof. We were caught in two downpours and the items inside were damp, but there was no accumulation of water inside the bags. Luckily I store everything in ziplocks.

Like the bag design with the exception of very tight fit on my 2016 Road Glide bars, almost couldn't get the inner snap to snap shut; same on both sides.A road trip will tell the tale, come on spring!

Read some reviews prior to purchase. Took the chance on what others have said that it was tough getting the buttons snapped. Also some have fallen off. After a few hundred miles and some fairly hard rain. They’re still on and contents inside were dry. I did have a water bottle inside one and I think the condensation got the inside a little wet. The other side contents were dry. Haven’t tried yet but it seems a TSA lock will fit to lock the clasp. The bottle holder will stick out beyond the saddlebags if you have a bottle of any sort. So far the product is working as it should. More time will tell.

Difficult to get the snaps snapped, after reading other reviews using a heat gun, I threw them in the clothes dryer for 20 minutes, gave them enough flexibility to get them snapped. I then used narrow zip ties through small holes I drilled next to the snaps, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom to extra secure the bags to the bars, they're not going anywhere !!!

Much better than H D equivalent at a much more reasonable price. The pockets are good sized, rigid, and the zippers and turn knob closures are good quality. The mesh exterior drink pouch is too small to be used for the intended purpose; I put my kick stand pad in one to have in a handy place.The fit is good but tight. It was a bit of a chore with the snaps. I used deep throat pliers to reach around the rails to secure the snaps; they didn't come loose.Good product, useful, and looks good on my bike.

Good product, I was concerned by the reviews that stated the difficulty of installation. If the bags are placed in a warm environment, allowed to heat up a bit, then installation is flawless. Great addition to my motorcycle.

These are very well made and work very well. I just used the snaps and have had zero issues with them staying on for 3500 miles so far.
