I bought these to replace a pair that I've had for around 18 years, which sadly were no longer waterproof and got wet inside and didn't dry out too well and mildewed. These are extremely similar except for the fact that they have a layer of 3M Thinsulate insulation inside of them. I'm not sure how I'm going to feel about that since most of the time these are my mild weather and rain gloves, but time will tell about that. I didn't want a bulky set of gloves like most of the waterproof ones on the market since I like to be able to feel my grip on the throttle, brake, and clutch, along with reliably using my hand controls, which these gloves allow me to still do, although they are a little bulkier than what I've gotten accustomed to over the past two decades. All in all, I think these will be exactly what I need them to be.
